Web Interface
Users can access the EnSight Nexus database and generate reports via a web interface. This interfaces also allows for some level of control over the database content.
To access the web interface, launch any web browser and navigate to the hostname and port number corresponding to the Ensight Nexus service. For example, if you are running a local Ensight Nexus service with the default port number, navigate to localhost:8000
The following page will appear:

Four menus at the top give access to functionalities:
- Reports: from this menu the user is able to generate any report using the report templates that are defined in the database
- Query: this menu allows the user to query the database to extract items from it, and to modify the database content itself
- Applications: this menu appears only for logged in users. It allows to add files directly into the EnSight Nexus database
- Information: general information about EnSight Nexus and this particular instance of the EnSight Nexus service
- Log in: allows the user to log into the service. If logged in, the user has access to more capabilities via the web interface
